Setup
Four things, once per person, about fifteen minutes in total. Do them in order, because each step tests the one before it. If something fails, the fix is almost certainly in the troubleshooting section at the bottom rather than a sign you have done it wrong.
Step 1
About 3 minutes
This is how Claude reaches the client folders. Without it, nothing else works.
Before you start. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner has to switch Google connectors on for the organisation before anyone can authenticate. If you cannot see Google Drive in the list at all, that is why. Ask Matt rather than assuming it is broken.
@taodigital.org account, not a personal one.Start a new chat and ask: find the Copy Print Services folder in my Drive. You should get the folder back, not an apology.
Step 2
About 5 minutes, and the fiddly one
Composio does the writing. The built-in Drive connector can read files and create them, but it cannot edit an existing document, which the pipeline needs constantly.
Composio showing as connected does not mean googledocs and googledrive are. They authenticate separately. If Claude reports "no active connection for toolkit", this is why, and it is a two-click fix rather than a real problem.
Ask: list what is in the Copy Print Services folder on Drive using Composio. You should get the three numbered folders back.
Step 3
About 2 minutes
The skill is client-content-foundations. It holds the actual procedure: how to build a voice profile, what goes in a facts bank, the question bank, the interview rules. It loads itself when it is relevant, so there is nothing to remember once it is on.
client-content-foundations.If you download the skill file and add it yourself, you get a private snapshot that never updates. When the shared version improves, yours will not, and two people will get different answers to the same question. Always take the shared one.
Ask: what would we need to set up content foundations for a new client? The answer should mention a voice profile, a facts bank and a no-go list. If it gives you a generic marketing answer, the skill is not on.
Step 4
About 1 minute
The Content Pipeline project carries the house rules, so every conversation in it already knows where client files live and what we never do. It also means your work is visible to the rest of the team rather than sitting in your own chat list.
Ask inside the project: where do Copy Print's foundation files live? It should name the Claude Shared Folder and the 01-foundations folder without you explaining anything.
Troubleshooting
All of these have happened. None of them mean you have done anything wrong.
"Access blocked: your institution's admin needs to review Claude for Google Drive"
A Google Workspace setting, not a Claude one. An admin needs to go to admin.google.com, then Security, Access and data control, API controls, Manage third-party app access, add Claude as an OAuth app and mark it Trusted. Allow about fifteen minutes for it to take effect.
"You may need to reconnect with your Google Drive account"
Go to Customize then Connectors, open the Google connector, disconnect, then trigger any Drive action and you will be asked to sign in again.
Claude cannot find a file you know exists
Usually a permissions gap rather than a fault. Claude only sees what your account sees, so check you personally have access to that shared drive.
"No active connection for toolkit"
That specific toolkit is not authorised yet. Ask Claude to connect it by name and follow the prompt.
A document gets created but opens completely blank
A known quirk: creating a document can report success while discarding the content. Ask Claude to write the content into the existing document and then confirm the character count. It knows to do this, but say so if you see a blank file.
A new document appears in your own My Drive rather than the client folder
Same quirk, different symptom. Composio ignores the folder argument when creating. Ask Claude to move it, and it will.
Answers feel generic and ignore our rules
The skill is probably off, or you are outside the project. Check both. The quickest tell is whether it mentions voice profiles unprompted.
Two people get different answers to the same question
Someone is running a private copy of the skill instead of the shared one. Delete the personal version and enable the shared one.
